What it does
Most win-loss is “what the rep typed in the loss-reason field” — a single sentence per deal, written under time pressure. This recipe goes deeper: it joins every closed deal (won + lost) with its actual call transcripts, pulls the buyer-side themes, and writes a quarterly read with verbatim quotes clustered by segment.
How it works
- Pull deals. The colleague queries every deal closed in the quarter, with rep-logged loss reasons, competitor mentions, and stage-transition history.
- Read calls. For each deal, the last 3 call transcripts are pulled. Buyer objections, must-haves, and decision criteria are extracted; sentiment trend across the deal is scored.
- Synthesize. Reasons are clustered across SMB / Mid / Ent segments. Two to three verbatim quotes per top theme are pulled. Per-segment win drivers and loss drivers are written into a Notion read.
Setup
