What it does

The Monday marketing standup usually starts with someone tabbing through three dashboards trying to remember what last week looked like. This recipe writes the brief — last week’s metrics, the drivers behind the deltas, and three priorities for the week ahead.

How it works

  1. Pull last week’s metrics. The colleague reads leads created, MQLs, demo bookings, and marketing-attributed pipeline.
  2. Surface the drivers. Per-campaign and per-page analysis identifies the top 3 movers (positive and negative) and one watch-out trend.
  3. Compose the brief. Headline, drivers, watch, and three priorities for this week — all written into a Notion doc with citations back to the dashboards.
  4. Post + tag. The brief drops in #marketing-perf with the campaign owner tagged on each driver.

Setup

  • Connect a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive).
  • Connect a docs surface (Notion, Google Docs, or Coda).
  • Connect a messaging channel (Slack or Teams).

Variations

  • Add a finance-attributed view that ties marketing pipeline to closed revenue.
  • Spin up a per-segment brief (enterprise vs. SMB) when funnels look different enough.
  • Run a daily delta brief during launch weeks.
