What it does
The Monday marketing standup usually starts with someone tabbing through three dashboards trying to remember what last week looked like. This recipe writes the brief — last week’s metrics, the drivers behind the deltas, and three priorities for the week ahead.
How it works
- Pull last week’s metrics. The colleague reads leads created, MQLs, demo bookings, and marketing-attributed pipeline.
- Surface the drivers. Per-campaign and per-page analysis identifies the top 3 movers (positive and negative) and one watch-out trend.
- Compose the brief. Headline, drivers, watch, and three priorities for this week — all written into a Notion doc with citations back to the dashboards.
- Post + tag. The brief drops in #marketing-perf with the campaign owner tagged on each driver.
Setup
- Connect a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive).
- Connect a docs surface (Notion, Google Docs, or Coda).
- Connect a messaging channel (Slack or Teams).
Variations
- Add a finance-attributed view that ties marketing pipeline to closed revenue.
- Spin up a per-segment brief (enterprise vs. SMB) when funnels look different enough.
- Run a daily delta brief during launch weeks.
