What it does

Most teams keep audience segments in three places — CRM filters, email lists, and a stale Google Sheet. This recipe rebuilds them from one source so the segment you target matches the actual engagement reality, not what the spreadsheet looked like last quarter.

How it works

  1. Read CRM activity. The colleague pulls every contact with a touch in the last 90 days, including role, industry, and recent engagement events.
  2. Layer in email signals. Opens, clicks, and unsubscribes from the email platform are joined onto the contact records.
  3. Build segments. Rule-based segments (intent score, role match, ICP fit, lifecycle stage) are computed against the unified view.
  4. Write back. Each segment lands as a clean tab in the spreadsheet — and a deltas summary posts to the marketing channel so the team sees what shifted since the last run.

Setup

  • Connect a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or Attio).
  • Connect an email platform (Mailchimp, Customer.Io, or Klaviyo).
  • Define each segment’s rule set in plain text — the colleague translates it into filters.
